When it comes to fire safety, the conversation often centers around effectiveness—but what about environmental impact? At FlamesOver, we believe protecting people and property shouldn't come at the cost of our ecosystems. That’s why we're proud to distribute ECOFIRE, a fire suppressant that’s as safe for the soil as it is powerful against flames.
Tested & Proven Under International Standards
ECOFIRE has been independently tested using OECD Guidelines 207 and 208, which are internationally recognized protocols for assessing toxicity in earthworms and plant systems. These tests are accepted by Canadian regulators under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA).
In the OECD 208 Seed Germination and Growth Test, ECOFIRE recorded an IC₅₀ of 78.33 g/kg—a figure that’s well above the 0.01 g/kg threshold that would classify a substance as ecotoxic. In other words, ECOFIRE only affects plant development at concentrations that are extremely high and not representative of real-world use.
🇨🇦 Meets Canadian and European Environmental Safety Standards
In addition to its OECD certification, ECOFIRE is also recognized as non-hazardous under Spanish RD 9/2005, a standard aligned with broader European Union environmental regulations. This makes ECOFIRE a safe option not just for use in Canada, but in over 37 countries worldwide.
Why It Matters
Whether you’re using ECOFIRE in a parking structure, industrial site, or rural setting, you can rest assured that you're using a product that:
Won’t leach toxins into the ground
Won’t disrupt soil ecosystems
Leaves no harmful residues behind
ECOFIRE combines performance with environmental responsibility. That’s fire safety for today—and for the future.
